Description
The project aimed at enhancing the efficiency and resilience of the Network Operations Center (NOC) at Federal Polytechnic Bida by implementing a comprehensive power backup system and modern network infrastructure. This upgrade is essential to support seamless network operations, ensuring minimal downtime and maximizing productivity.
Scope of Work
Our scope of work for the NOC power backup system and network integration at Federal Polytechnic Bida covered several key components:
- Procurement and Delivery of High-Quality Fiber Optic Equipment
We sourced high-grade fiber optic equipment to enhance network performance and ensure reliable, high-speed data transmission across the Polytechnic’s network infrastructure. - Network System Installation and Configuration
Our team carried out the installation and configuration of the network system with meticulous attention to quality standards, optimizing the setup to meet current and future demands. This involved:- Physical installation of network components.
- System configuration to ensure seamless connectivity.
- Testing for functionality and robustness.
- Power Backup System Integration (15 kVA, 20 kWh)
To ensure the NOC remains operational during power outages, we deployed a 15 kVA, 20 kWh power backup system:- Integrated the backup system with the NOC infrastructure.
- Conducted thorough testing to confirm performance under various load conditions.
- Ensured that the system provides sufficient backup capacity to sustain critical NOC functions during power interruptions.
- Training and Support for Network Staff
We provided in-depth training sessions to equip the Polytechnic’s network staff with the knowledge and skills needed to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot the network and backup systems. This training ensures that the staff can manage the infrastructure independently and effectively.
Outcomes
The deployment of the power backup system and enhanced network infrastructure at Federal Polytechnic Bida has significantly boosted the reliability and performance of the NOC. The Polytechnic can now confidently manage its network operations with minimal risk of interruptions, improving both staff productivity and the user experience.
Conclusion
This project represents a significant advancement in the Polytechnic’s network capabilities, combining advanced fiber optic technology and robust power backup solutions. Our team remains committed to providing ongoing support and assistance to ensure sustained, uninterrupted network performance at Federal Polytechnic Bida.
